Refat Kurtveliev

Refat Kurtveliev was born in 1961 and now lives in Poshtove, Bakhchysarai Raion, Crimea.
The master creatively combines the skills of working with metal and the system of Crimean Tatar ornaments “Ornek”. Refat creates his artworks applying modern technology of the welding of the separate parts of an item. Ornamental design is made in the technique of cioning, using ornamental language of the traditional Crimean Tatar embroidery. His metal tableware represents not only practical objects, such as cezves for brewing aromatic coffee, but also wise wishes expressed in the language of the ornamentation.
Refat also creates decorative graphic panels.
