Rebia Bokova was born in 1954 and now lives in Bakhchysarai, Crimea.

The craftswoman creatively develops the traditions of the Crimean Tatar technique of gold embroidery Mihlam, acquired from the famous promoter of this type of embroidery Zarema Mustafaeva.

However, contrary to the canonical single-color embroidery, Rebia turns her works into veritable flower gardens, boldly playing with shapes and colors. In her “vivid” artworks, with no precise symmetry, silent ornaments infuse interior objects with “good” meanings
